Ahmedabad is the largest city and former capital of the
Indian state of Gujarat. The city is an administrative centre of Ahmedabad
district as well as the judicial capital of Gujarat as the Gujarat High Court
is in Ahmedabad.In 2010, Forbes magazine rated Ahmedabad as the fastest-growing
city in India, and listed it as third fastest-growing in the world after the
Chinese cities of Chengdu and Chongqing.In December 2011 market research firm
IMRB declared Ahmedabad the best mega-city to live in, when compared to India's
other mega-cities.

prosperity. Pune is the cultural capital of Maharashtra. Pune has
well-established manufacturing, glass, sugar, and forging industries since the
1950-60s. It has a growing industrial hinterland, with many information
technology and automotive companies setting up factories in Pune district.

Capital of India, is the largest metropolis by area and the second-largest
metropolis by population in India.Construction, power, telecommunications,

economy. Delhi has India's largest and one of the fastest growing retail
industries. As a result, land prices are booming and Delhi is currently ranked
the 7th most expensive office hotspot in the world, with prices at $145.16 per
square foot.

because of its position as the nation's leading IT exporter.A demographically
diverse city, Bangalore is a major economic and cultural hub and the second
fastest growing major metropolis in India.some of the major giant IT companies
have their offices in Bangalore.
6) Hyderabad

The city has emerged as a major global center for the
information technology (IT) industry,as well as Pharmaceuticals and
biotechnology.The Telugu film industry, known as Tollywood, is located in the
city. World's Largest Film city " Ramoji Film city " is also located
in the heart of the city.The World Bank Group ranked the city as the second
best Indian city for doing business in 2009. In 2010, the city was listed among
the Gamma+ World City by GaWC. In 2011, DTZ ranked Hyderabad as world's third
most affordable office location,while Business Today ranked Hyderabad as the
fourth best city to live in India.The city's prime residential areas
of Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills reached the highest growth percentage in
India. The Economic Times evaluated Banjara Hills to be worth US$20.7 billion
plus counting .
7) Chennai

of India's automobile manufacturing industry is based in and around the city
and hence it is called the Detroit of India. Chennai is an important centre for
Carnatic music and hosts a large cultural event, the annual Madras Music
Season, which includes performances by hundreds of artists. The Tamil film industry is based in Chennai.

North-East India and home to the Calcutta Stock Exchange.It is a major
commercial and military port, and is the only city in eastern India to have an
international airport.Kolkata is home to many industrial units operated by
large public- and private-sector corporations; major sectors include steel,
heavy engineering, mining, minerals, cement, pharmaceuticals, food processing,
agriculture, electronics, textiles, and jute. ITC Limited, Coal India Limited,
and Britannia Industries rank among the companies headquartered in the city.
Kolkata hosts the headquarters of three major public-sector banks: Allahabad
Bank, UCO Bank, and the United Bank of India.
